Katina Acoff

I am excited to be part of helping families find their perfect home, and to fulfill my purpose of supporting others through a process that can be challenging.

My Background

I was born and raised in East Saint Louis, Illinois, and have lived in Missouri, Iowa, Georgia and Arizona. After meeting my husband in St. Louis, we moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where I started my family and began my career in sales as a licensed hair designer. I later moved into the benefits, human resources and payroll field, earning promotions, leadership awards and certifications along the way. I also became a certified chef and worked with a caterer in Missouri.

After moving to Arizona I earned my Associate in Science degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. Over the past 12 years I have worked in roles related to HR, human services, payroll and catering, became a certified bookkeeper, and spent time as a houseparent in a group home for foster children.

Serving Others

While in Iowa I had the opportunity to mentor and support youth and young adults, and to help the homeless and survivors of domestic violence during the holidays. Supporting people has been the common thread in everything I have done.

What That Means for My Clients

In my previous roles I worked closely with individuals and families to make sure their needs were met and their concerns addressed. I have honed my communication skills and build trust and rapport quickly. I listen, understand your specific needs and goals, and provide solutions that fit you. My experience in human resources also gave me a strong understanding of compliance and ethics. I am comfortable with complex processes and regulations, so every transaction is handled with professionalism and integrity.
